Job Purpose
Ensure timely baking and cooling of baked goods while maintaining quality control and an organized production facility
Duties / Responsibilities
- Ensure timely baking and cooling of baked goods
- Maintain quality control and an organized production facility to meet production goals
- Report any problems on a timely basis to the production supervisor/lead hand
- Responsible for food safety and a clean working environment
- Carefully pre-heat the oven to the desired temperature for the products to be baked
- Ensure that batter does not sit for any extended period prior to baking
- Check the oven for proper working conditions
- Visually observe the baking process so that no products are over or under baked
- Locate the QC check sheet from supervisor and complete the record throughout shift
- Adhere to plant policies and procedures, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Report any Health & Safety Issues
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Oven Operator / Food manufacturing experience required
- Knowledge of baking/oven machinery and equipment preferred
- Cleaning focused and meticulous
- Highly organized
- Good English communication skills
- Work safely and follow good manufacturing practices (GMP)
- Wears all PPE at all times
- Reliable and a team player
- Career-oriented and a desire to grow with this expanding entrepreneurial company
- Available to work 12-hours shifts now, may change to 8-hours shifts later
Physical Demands
- Prolonged standing
- Heavy lifting/pushing/pulling 50-80 lbs. may be required
