Job Purpose

  • Family owned Heating and Plumbing wholesale company in Aurora requires a professional who can proficiently oversee administrative and bookkeeping functions, ensuring seamless operations, and enhancing overall team efficiency. This multifaceted role encompasses critical support in record-keeping, coordination, communication, and facilitating smooth interactions, both internally and with external parties. The Administrative and Bookkeeping Professional will play a pivotal role in maintaining organizational efficiency, fostering effective communication, managing financial records, and contributing significantly to the success of the store’s day-to-day activities.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting support functions for day-to-day operations
  • Record financial transactions accurately in ledgers and accounting software
  • Assist in the day-to-day administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document management
  • Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and internal staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist in processing payroll, including tracking hours, calculating overtime, and ensuring accurate and timely payments
  • Address and resolve administrative and financial issues as they arise, collaborating with relevant parties
  • Provide backup assistance to customers in showroom area
  • Responding to phone and email inquiries
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by management to support overall operations
  • Social Media marketing, monitoring

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Accounting and business software required
  • Minimum of 2 years of Bookkeeping / Accounting experience including payroll
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand customer needs and provide suitable product recommendations
  • Ability to effectively communicate through digital channels, including email, instant messaging, and collaboration platforms
  • Proficiency in Spire Software is an asset but not a requirement
  • Experience with social media including FaceBook, Instagram and X
